Site optimization
- Our field crews use very effective site optimization procedures. They conduct a detailed assessment of a site and provide a full report on non-optimal areas. This is followed by a thorough examination of transmission lines and connectors, transmitter power, antenna down tilt and azimuth, spectrum emission mask, multicoupler and combining network tuning, DC battery cell short check and grounding resistance. Corrections are then made and the system is tuned to optimal values. While on-site, we also conduct a general site review to look for signs of moisture, corrosion, animal damage and other anomalies.

Sweep testing - Trylon TSF field crews are trained in the use of HP and Wiltron test gear, and routinely sweep lines and antennas from 800 MHz to 38 GHz. Sweep testing reports include full details of each test conducted.

Bit Error Rate  - Our microwave installations typically include a Bit Error Rate. Field staff use TTC test equipment, provide additional tests based on your specification, and compile test results in a final report.

DC load testing - Following installation of 48VDC power systems, we perform a DC load test using a compatible load bank for the testing.

Path surveys - A physical path survey is an effective way to confirm theoretical calculations of the microwave path. Our field technicians understand the importance of a reliable path survey and can detail a planned microwave path to confirm your path assumptions.

OTDR testing - It's critical to quickly pinpointing problems in your optical network. Our field crews will conduct OTDR testing on your fiber cables to assure they provide a quality path in your network from end to end.

RF coverage - We confirm the success of site optimization efforts with an actual field drive test confirming the coverage of your site.

RF Safety - Regulatory authorities in the US and Canada will be enforcing the limits of RF exposure of antenna sites. As a site operator, you'll be required to meet RF safety limit requirements. We can perform the appropriate tests and provide a third-party assessment.

Testing and troubleshooting - Our experience installing and commissioning a wide variety of technologies is useful when troubleshooting your network's complex technical problems.
