The new Trylon TSF Cougar™ Safety Rail system offers the ultimate peace of mind for tower workers. Cougar Safety Rail features smooth operation plus the lowest wind load ratings of any fall protection system. With its lightweight yet heavy-duty aluminum rail and trolley, the Cougar Safety Rail system provides instant fall arrest with less than 1 inch (2.54 cm) movement.

System Features
  • Field-proven reliability of Trylon TSF's robust rail system design principles
  • Durable bronze rollers
  • Proven to stand-up to the elements
  • Increased mobility (Class AS and FRL approved) allows rapid climb and descent
  • No binding in side-to-side movement during climb
  • Reduced need to lean back, well-suited to confined spaces
  • SafetyLokT feature: Cannot operate upside down — even if rail is installed upside down
  • Completely compatible with existing Trylon TSF rail systems over the years
Trolley Features
  • Precision-made 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion - will never rust!
  • Stainless steel components and hardware
  • Brake lever action and teeth bear on thick wall of rail, eliminating any need for notches or stops, as with other systems.
  • Orientation lock-out device for extra safety - SafetyLokT
Rail Features
  • Die-extruded 6061T6 aluminum alloy - will never rust!
  • Unique tubular design
  • Minimum wind loading and extra structural strength
  • Galvanized steel hardware attaches to both round and angular steps at any point along the rail
  • Rugged internal splice bar provides maximum strength
  • Positive brake-stop pawl action allows less than 1 inch (2.54 cm) movement for instant fall protection
  • Accepts multiple trolleys
  • Trolleys are removable
  • Complies with OHSA requirements
  • First in Canada with CSA certification (Z259.2, Type 1, Class B device)
Easy Installation
  • Locate rail at center of ladder to allow balanced foot placement
  • Clamp every 4 to 5 feet (1.2 to 1.5 m) as rungs permit. First clamp should be about 1 foot (.3 m) from lower end of rail. Top clamp should be on top rung
  • For best result, place clamp bolts in continuous T-slot and hand-tighten before raising rail sections into place. Put splice sections into rail tops before raising next section into place. Leave 1/16-in. (.2 cm) opening at each joint for expansion and contraction

Secure Climbing
  • Slide trolley onto rail
  • Connect karabiner to front "D" ring on properly fitted body harness
  • Lean slightly away from rail to disengage pawl, and climb or descend in the same way
  • Releasing tension automatically engages the lock

Important note: Ladder type, rung size, rung spacing and other pertinent information should be given when ordering.
